How to open the EPUB file using Apple Books (macOS)

  1. Make sure that the EPUB file is on your macOS device.
  2. Double-click the EPUB file. This will open it for reading in the Books app, which comes pre-installed on all Apple devices.
  3. If the book opens in a different app or doesn’t open at all, right-click (or Command + click) the file, select Open with, and then select Books.

How to open the EPUB file using Adobe Digital Editions (macOS and PC)

  1. Install Adobe Digital Editions on your computer. Digital Editions is free e-reading software available for both Windows and macOS. You can download it from Adobe here.
  2. After downloading, double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install.
  3. Once installed, click the “File” menu on the top left corner. Then click “Add to Library” and select the ePUB file from your downloads. Finally, double-click on the ePUB to begin reading.

How to Transfer your EPUB file to Kindle

Send using the Kindle App

  1. Download the EPUB file onto your iPhone, iPad, or Android device and find it in the file manager app—commonly called “Files.”
  2. Open the share menu and select the Kindle app.
  3. On Android, the app will open with a list of all your Kindle devices. Select your eReader and tap “Send.”
  4. On iPhone and iPad, you’ll need to toggle off “Save in Kindle Library” and then select your device before tapping “Send.”
  5. A notification or pop-up will alert you that the ebook has been successfully sent to your Kindle.

Send via email

  1. Head to amazon.com/myk in a web browser on your PC or smartphone.
  2. Select the Kindle you want to use from the “Devices” tab and click the device name in the expanded menu.
  3. On the next page, you’ll see the “@kindle.com” email address for your Kindle.
  4. Send an email to that address with your ebook file attached.
