Seismic Enablement Cloud User License Definitions
Three license types are available with Seismic Enablement Cloud packages
Standard
Standard users are members of your go-to-market organization, including sellers, CSMs, marketers, and enablement professionals (includes all revenue producing and revenue supporting teams). These users require broad functionality to create, share, and manage content, participate in programs, and access analytics. Standard Licenses provide the most access to Seismic capabilities, including the ability to administer roles and permissions when needed.
Example: a sales manager building personalized content for a prospect, or an enablement leader assigning training across teams.
Partner
Partner users are individuals within your channel partners, distributors, or resellers who need secure access to Seismic content and learning to support joint sales activities. Partner license is for external partner users only and is not available to internal employees. This license enables partners to engage with the resources they need without overexposing sensitive internal content.
Example: a reseller logging in to complete a training module and download the latest approved collateral before a co-selling pitch.
Viewer
Viewer users are employees inside your organization who use Seismic primarily as an internal hub for reference, in a read-only capacity. They can browse and consume content but cannot create, edit, or manage assets. This license is limited to non-revenue supporting teams such as HR, finance, engineering, development, or executives who need visibility into approved materials without requiring advanced features.
Example: an engineering manager reviewing product specifications or an HR leader accessing onboarding materials.
For each license, Seismic Admins have the flexibility to specify the roles of each user within Seismic and adjust certain permissions associated with each role to craft the Seismic experience to your unique needs. This matrix indicates to which capabilities license holders have general access but does not always specify the level of access they have. Partner and Viewer access levels may vary.
