Leadership is earned by what we do next
By Rob Tarkoff, CEO, Seismic — On November 3, 2026
It's been a remarkable few weeks for Seismic; we brought our combined community together at Shift, shared our vision for the future of go-to-market (GTM) performance, and received significant recognition from some of the industry's most respected analysts.
I'm proud of these milestones, as they reflect years of innovation, investment, and partnership across Seismic, Highspot, and the customers who have helped shape both companies. But amid all the recognition, something else has stayed with me: seeing customers share their experiences from Shift and express their enthusiasm for what they're excited to build and where we're headed together.
While industry recognition tells us something important about what we've built, our customers will ultimately determine the value of what we build next. And I believe we're entering one of the most consequential chapters in the history of revenue enablement.
A moment to recognize how far we've come
Over the past decade, revenue enablement has evolved from a collection of disconnected tools and activities into a strategic business discipline. What began with helping sellers find content and develop skills has coalesced into a connected approach to learning, buyer engagement, governance, and measurement.
Seismic and Highspot helped shape that evolution, working alongside customers to strengthen team readiness, customer engagement, and business performance.
Recent industry recognition reinforces the strength of that foundation. Both Seismic and Highspot by Seismic were independently named Leaders in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Revenue Enablement Platforms, with Highspot by Seismic positioned highest for Ability to Execute for the second consecutive year. Both platforms were also independently recognized as Leaders in The Forrester Wave™: Revenue Enablement Platforms, Q4 2026, based on evaluations completed before the companies came together.
Aragon Research also named Seismic the outright market leader in its Globe for Revenue Enablement, while IDC recognized us with its CX Award for Customer Satisfaction in Sales. Together, these distinctions reflect the strength of our platforms, our people, and the customer partnerships that have brought us here. But our work to help customers turn strategy into revenue is just beginning. The question now is: How do we build on this foundation to lead the next chapter of enablement?
The market is asking more of enablement
One of the most interesting aspects of recent analyst research is how expectations for the category are evolving.
The latest Gartner Magic Quadrant offers an important perspective on where this market is heading. Beyond evaluating individual platforms, the research describes a category increasingly focused on AI-driven execution, intelligence embedded in everyday workflows, and measurable commercial impact.
This evolution reinforces something we've believed for some time: The next opportunity is to bring these capabilities together to help revenue teams make better decisions, engage customers more effectively, and drive stronger business outcomes.
For years, revenue enablement has focused on a fundamental question: How do we prepare our people to succeed? It's a question that helped establish an entire category, discipline, and mulit-billion dollar industry. And now that question has evolved, too, with today’s GTM leaders looking for answers: How do we help our people perform better when the customer, opportunity, and outcome are right in front of them?
Preparation provides the foundation, yet performance is ultimately measured in the moments that matter. A seller can have the right training, content, and strategic understanding of the deal in front of them, but success depends on how effectively they apply that knowledge to customer needs and make decisions in the moment.
In Seismic's recent research, 51% of senior buyers said a better ability to explain and quantify ROI would help sellers guide them more effectively. Another 44% pointed to a better understanding of their problems and desired results.
Buyers need people who can interpret all the information they have access to, apply it to their circumstances, and help them make confident decisions. AI is making information easier to access and tasks faster to complete, but speed and information alone don't create better customer conversations or stronger business outcomes.
Building on our foundation to raise the standard
At Shift, we shared how the new combined Seismic intends to help lead this next chapter, and our ambition goes far beyond bringing together two established revenue enablement platforms. We're combining the best of both to help organizations close the gap between preparation and performance.
GTM organizations already have a wealth of data on buyer engagement, content usage, and seller activity. The opportunity now is to connect those signals to understand what drives success, identify the next best action, and continuously improve performance.
We're driven to turn trusted knowledge and real-world customer insights into smarter decisions and stronger performance wherever GTM teams work. Over time, the system will learn from those actions, helping organizations identify effective behaviors and make strong, proven performance more repeatable.
Technology is only as good as the value it can bring to people. The best sellers and customer-facing professionals bring judgment, empathy, and experience to every interaction. They know how to listen, recognize what matters, and help customers make confident decisions. Our opportunity is to give everyone the intelligence and support to perform at the same level, beat quota, and win.
At Shift, Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) shared how its work in establishing trusted information, disciplined content practices, and clearer visibility into engagement is helping the organization make better decisions and support its client-facing teams.
RLAM is understanding what works, improving how teams engage clients, and making the organization's expertise more effective in the moments that matter. This is the connection between preparation and performance in practice, and it's the kind of progress we want to help every customer achieve.
Leadership comes with responsibility
Bringing Seismic and Highspot together creates an extraordinary opportunity to combine deep expertise, best-in-class products, and a global community of customers who continue to push us to innovate. But it also comes with the responsibility to turn that potential into meaningful results.
Being recognized as a Leader is an achievement worth celebrating, but category leadership isn't something a company earns once and keeps forever. It must be demonstrated continuously.
This means listening closely to customers, anticipating how their needs are changing, and investing in capabilities that help them meet those needs. It means recognizing that innovation is only valuable when it solves real problems and improves outcomes. And it means holding ourselves accountable for more than platform adoption, feature releases, or industry recognition.
Pioneering the GTM performance era means we must help our customers demonstrate that their teams are executing more effectively, and translate their strategy into measurable results.
Our customers will define what success looks like
The conversations and reactions from Shift have stayed with me because of the show the depth and breadth of our customer community. The analyst recognition validates the strength of what we've built, while bringing two category leaders together creates an unparalleled opportunity for what comes next. But what's most exciting to me about our future is the ambition of our customers, focused on making their teams more effective and delivering better outcomes.
Seismic helped shape the revenue enablement category and now we're helping define its next chapter, connecting revenue execution to GTM performance. Our success won't be measured by industry recognition or innovation alone.
We measure our success by your success. And when we innovate together, we win.
